Employee RFID in Japan, Korea and the U.S.

In February, the goverment conducted a survey on the use of information technology in three countries: Japan, Korea and the U.S. The result of this survey is discussed in the latest edition of the annual report (Joho Tsushin Hakusho) published by the goverment.

The survey included questions about the use of RFID cards for employee identification and access control in companies. Japan tops in the number of companies using such RFID cards (13.1%) followed by Korea (10%) and the U.S. (5.9%).

When it comes to RFID deployment in the areas of product management and consumer applications, the U.S. tops by 7.0% followed by Korea(5.3%) and Japan (5.1%).
