Super tiny with anti-collisionASTAR(Agency for Science, Technology and Research)'s IME(Institute of Microelectronics) in Singapore developed a very small RFID tag (1mmx0.5mm) with on-chip antenna.

Hitachi's mu-chip is smaller (0.4mmx0.4mm), however, it doesn't have anti-collision functionality, which means multiple tags can't be read "at the same time."
ASTAR IME's tag has anti-collision functionality and it is a read/write tag. However, its communication range is only about 2mm.
Mu-chip's communication range is similar (I'm talking about the one with an on-chip antenna. the one with an external larger antenna can communicate with a reader a foot away).
