RFID Shopping Assistant Robot

Tmsuk (the company that developed Roboria and the one that fogged the prime minister), and NTT Communications announced that they will introduce a service robot that follows shoppers and help them navigate in a shopping mall and carry heavy bags, etc. in a large shopping mall in Fukuoka, Japan. RFID technology is used to make this robot inexpensive.

The pilot test will take place in February 2006, at a shopping mall called Diamond Citicle near Fukuoka International Airport.
