The Nikkei article (in Japanese) also says:
- The company is also considering using RFID tags for maintenance work after the plant is built and in operation.
- There are more than 1 million things (equipment, pipes, valves, electronic devices) used for the construction of a nuclear power plant.
- They think that storing historical information of RFID-tagged objects will facilitate the maintenance work for a nuclear power plant.
- About using RFID for connecting cables, RFID data is checked up using the CAD data of the electronic circuits. This checking can be done by using either a PC or a PDA.
